Elements of an Effective Trade Show Display
Elements of an Effective Trade Show Display
A trade show is a great venue for raising awareness and reaching potential clients, vendors and customers. However, at any given event, there could be dozens and even hundreds of other organizations competing for people’s attention. Having the right trade show booth set-up will make your offering and message stand out. Here are five elements of effective trade show displays to keep in mind.
Understand What Your Goal Is
When designing a trade show booth, you should think about what you want to accomplish, then determine how to accomplish it. If you simply want to build brand awareness, banner signs and graphics will take center stage. Are you debuting a new product? You may need trade show A/V equipment and other resources for demonstrations. Defining and working towards a goal gives your booth focus rather than being a mish-mash.
Create Unity
On a related note, you want each element of your booth layout to work together. If there’s too much going on visually or things seem scattershot, it will cause confusion and drive people away. Graphics and signage should be consistent, and if you have products or other display items, they should be laid out in an easy-to-follow way. Adding
branded trade show flooring is another way to unify the booth design while giving visitors a more comfortable place to stand.
Use Lighting
Backlit displays and light boxes will let you stand out on show floors that are crowded and/or dimly lit. Displays such as our
Brightline light box products make graphics more vibrant, give them a sophisticated modern appearance and offer a more welcoming environment. Accent lighting and spotlights are another way to draw attention to certain display aspects.
Incorporate Reusable and Scalable Elements
Your organization travels to a lot of trade shows, and you may not always get the booth space you want. Therefore, your display system should be adaptable.
Modular displays include
panels, podiums, monitor mounts and other items that can be rearranged as needed — and you even leave out certain displays. By having elements that you can use in many different settings, you’ll be able to keep costs down.
Add Interactivity
One of the best ways to form a connection with prospects is by giving them ways to interact with your brand. Videos, demonstrations and letting people try products are all good ways of doing this. You might also consider adding activities to your booth such as a
Spin N Win Prize Wheel Kit. People can have fun trying to score swag, leading to engagement that keeps your business on their minds.
